Is there any chance, the game will be finished one day? I already played when only two chapters were out, but after chapter four - years ago - it seems abandoned now. Maybe it's not, but it seems so.
It is not. The authors were working on Slay The Princess, that's why the progress on this game has slow down (and next chapter will be massive). Now that STP and the pristine cut are out, I think this game will be the main focus again ! ( ^-^)

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “We plan to be in Early Access until the release of Episodes 6 and 7, which we're currently hoping to release together in 2026.”
It is not abandoned. The creators are very active over at Discord, BlueSky, and Tumblr. They just released a sneak peek of a new background for the next episode. They put Scarlet Hollow on hold for a year (mainly 2024) to release Slay the Princess due to financial reasons but now they are focusing 100% on releasing episode 5 (supposedly to be the biggest episode yet) this year. Worries not! The quality they put in their games makes the wait well worthwhile imo.
This was the first visual novel in my life and gods, it worth it so much! I have too many playthroughs, it's safe to say I'm obsessed with this absolute masterpiece. The art is gorgeous, the story is intriguing and has so many layers, the branching is mindblowing! Scarlet Hollow has a special place in my heart with Reese sitting on top. 💜
